XENOGRAFTS

A tissue graft from a donor of a different species is a xenograft. Usually, they originate from bovine, porcine, equine or ovine. The majority in the dental space are bovine, but recently there has been a trend towards porcine. The molecular structure of bone is the same across species, making it possible to use bone from animal sources for dental implant bone grafts with very good results. Xenografts contain only the sterilized non organic materials of the animal bone. They are used a a scaffold from which the human body creates its natural bone.

Our current Xenograft offering

Bone Particulate:

  • We carry a complete line of Xenograft bone to include grind sizes of 250-1000um and 1000-2000um. The volumes are .25cc, .5cc, 1cc,2cc,2.5cc and 4cc. The larger grind sizes come in volumes of 2cc, 4cc and 8cc. the bone is also available in a syringe.

SYNTHETICS

While there are organic products available for patients in need of a bone graft, synthetic bone grafting materials provide another option. These artificial bone products can be made from a range of materials and some feature integrated growth factors to speed healing. Although, these products are generally thought of as a cost effective measure, they do fill the space of the missing bone and encourage bone growth.

Our current Synthetic offering:

  • We carry many forms of synthetic bone in many sizes. They are based on Calcium Sulfate, Potassium Sulfate, Calcium Sulfate hemihydrate, Calcium Phosphate, Alloplastic Bone Grafts and many others. They are available in both particulate and putty and In jars and syringes.

Membranes:

  • We carry both resorbable and non-resorbable membranes. The resorbable membranes come in a variety of sizes and are mainly based on polymers and copolymers. The non-resorbable membranes are made from PTFE and come in many sizes and shapes. They also are available with titanium inlays.

Sutures:

  • We carry a complete line of PTFE sutures.
